Lillian Tsang MBA (Data Protection and Privacy Director)
After qualifying as a solicitor (lawyer) in England and Wales, Lillian worked predominantly in commercial litigation (private practice). Lillian sat as Group Financial Services Solicitor and Group Compliance Officer for a leading insurance company serving multiple divisions (including non-financial services) and was nominated as the first DPO for the Group. Lillian then returned to private practice where she expanded the data protection division for an innovative commercial law firm servicing an array of clients; from Start-ups to Multinationals, from the traditional to those in the disruptive data protection sector; taking clients through the whole data protection compliance programme.
Lillian holds an MBA, which enables her to fully appreciate the commercial dilemmas any entity faces and, therefore offers a strategic pragmatic approach to advice, often overlooked in the advisory landscape. In addition to general legal and compliance, her particular interest includes; AdTech, Big Data, InternetofThings, data protection by Design and Default, DSARs and Breach Response Plans.
